Steinunn Arnardóttir - From idea to Release: Research and Product Creation at Native Instruments

ABSTRACT

This talk will cover Native Instrument's approach to product creation and development. A journey of a product / feature from sketch board to release is followed, including research, integration, design and testing.

NI is the maker of Traktor, a pioneering product in digital DJ-ing, Maschine music production system, and Komplete software bundle. Celebrating 20 years in the music technology industry this year, the company's mission is to develop innovative, fully-integrated solutions for all musical styles and professions.

 

ABOUT STEINUNN ARNARDÓTTIR

Steinunn_copySteinunn Arnardóttir is heading Research Collaborations and Academic Affairs at Native Instruments. Previously she worked as a DSP Developer at NI for over six years, working on audio effects for most of NI's products, including Maschine, Traktor, GuitarRig and Kontakt. She holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Music Technology from University of Iceland and Stanford University.
