Sean E. Olive received a Bachelors degree in Music from the University of Toronto. and his Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Sound Recording from McGill University in Montreal. In 1993 Sean joined Harman International where he is currently Director of Acoustic Research for the Corporate Technology Acoustics Group. Sean has written over 35 research papers for which he was awarded the Audio Engineering Society (AES) Fellowship Award in 1996, and two AES Publication Awards (1990* and 1995**). Sean has taught audio courses at McGill University, UCLA and CEDIA, and is a frequent guest speaker at AES sections and international conferences. He is a past Governor and Vice-President of the AES, and is the current AES President-Elect.
