CIRMMT's Music Perception and Cognition research theme and BRAMS are organizing a methodological workshop on measuring emotional response to music in Montreal on June 1, 2007. Participants will examine in detail and debate the relative merits and difficulties of various behavioral, optical, acoustical, psychophysiogical, electro- and/or magnetophysiological techniques for measuring the emotional state of people listening to or producing musical stimuli in the lab or real music in more natural(istic) surroundings including the concert hall.

The workshop will take place at BRAMS and we hope to keep the attendance to a manageable size with only people intensely interested in these issues in their own work.  If you are interested in participating, please send your replies to by Thursday April 5th, 5pm.
