October 22, 2009

CIRMMT members Isabelle Cossette, Caroline Palmer and Marcelo Wanderley have been awarded the 2009-2010 CIRMMT Strategic Innovation grant for their project entitled "Interaction between facial expression, gesture and breathing during singing"

During this project they plan to conduct a pilot study on the integration and interaction of multi-level movements between individuals in vocal performance. The team members plan "to simultaneously quantify the interaction of facial expression, respiratory behavior and gesture during singing by using motion capture systems, electromyography, and sound and video recordings."
