CIRMMT student member David Sears has won the grand prize for student research at the Society for Music Perception and Cognition (SMPC) 2011 conference, held in Rochester, NY, August 11-14, 2011.
The award was for the paper "The Perception of Cadential Closure in Mozart's Keyboard Sonatas", co-authored with William E. Caplin and Stephen McAdams.
