Suresh Krishna: Listening, Seeing, Perceiving

Associate professor of physiology at McGill, Prof. Suresh Krishna presents his research to the CIRMMT community.

Abstract: How do we actively perceive the world through our senses of hearing and vision? I will present an idiosyncratic tour through the interface between the mind, the brain, and the external world for these two senses, based on my past work and future research plans.

Biography: Suresh Krishna completed his medical training at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi and then a PhD in neural science at NYU. Following a post-doc at Columbia University, he worked as a scientist in Lyon, Goettingen and Berlin before coming to McGill as an Associate Professor in Physiology in Jan 2020.
