DESCRIPTION:The first of the live@CIRMMT concerts will take place on Monda
 y\, January 22\, when Fabrice Marandola will premiere a major new piece fo
 r percussion and live electronics by French composer Arnaud Petit.  Arnaud
  Petit will be in residence at McGill for two weeks\, working on this rese
 arch/creation project in the McGill Digital Composition Studios.  He will 
 give a lecture on January 18th as part of the CIRMMT Distinguished Lecture
  Series describing his creative and technical work.  His presence at CIRMM
 T has been supported by the Consul général de France à Québec.
