Description
Join us for a critical listening workshop at Studio Verville featuring tracks produced by local engineers.
Through collective listening and discussion, participants will practice the skill of critical listening, while learning about the technical/artistic aspects that build the production of a music track.
The selected tracks will be presented in different playback formats, and will feature Montreal-based women and gender-expansive artists working in different musical genres. The engineers of each track will participate in the discussion sharing insights about their work.
This workshop will be facilitated in English by Mariana Mejía Ahrens, and is co-hosted by our lovely colleagues Claire Loewen and Lukas Glickman at Studio Verville. We thank CIRMMT, Codell Audio, and Studio error 403 for their support.
» Access note: Studio Verville is on a second floor accessible only through a set of stairs.
