Workshop on Psychophysiological Measurement

This workshop is organized by CIRMMT Research Axis 5 (Music Perception and Cognition). It will take place on April 23rd, 2010 from 1 to 5 pm, in A832 (New Music Building). This workshop is free and open to all. Registration is required.

Description

This workshop discusses psychophysiological measurement from three main perspectives:

(1) The underlying psychological mechanisms involved in physical emotion-based reactions and the techniques most commonly used to measure these reactions (Galvanic skin response (GSR), Electromyography (EMG), Electroencephalography (EEG), functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), breath and heart rate measurement devices);

(2) CIRMMT Audience Response System: Biosensors and technological requirements;

(3) Data analysis: techniques, issues, and interpretation of the results.
