The Canada Council for the Arts announced that composer and CIRMMT student Jimmie LeBlanc is the winner of the 2009 Jules Léger Prize for New Chamber Music for the work L’Espace intérieur du monde.
CIRMMT Student Travel Support: Round 4 applications due December 10th 2009
The deadline for applications for travel funding, for travel between January 1st and March 31st, is December 10th.
2009-2010 CIRMMT Strategic Innovation Funding recipients announced
CIRMMT members Isabelle Cossette, Caroline Palmer and Marcelo Wanderley have been awarded the 2009-2010 CIRMMT Strategic Innovation grant for their project entitled "Interaction between facial expression, gesture and breathing during singing"

CIRMMT collaborates in historic live streaming video concert
August 2nd, 2009: In collaboration with the National Youth Orchestra of Canada and the Schulich School of Music of McGill University, CIRMMT participated in the internet video broadcast of a concert performed in McGill's Multimedia Room. CIRMMT's contribution to this event was generously supported by funding from the Maurice Pollack Foundation for the centre's Audio Visual Editing Laboratory.
CBC Evolution National Composition Competition Concert
The final concert of the CBC Evolution National Composition Competition is held tonight Thursday, March 26. Current doctoral student and CIRMMT student member David Adamcyk and former undergraduate and master's student Geof Holbrook are two of the five finalists.
CIRMMT students participate in Spark Festival 2009
The Digital Orchestra Project was presented at the Spark Festival of Electronic Music and Arts in February 2009. Festival participants included current CIRMMT students Erika Donald and Xenia Pestova. Xenia performed former CIRMMT student Bryan Jacob's piece "Song from the Moment."
