Training workshop: An introduction to LaTeX

This tutorial will be given by CIRMMT student member Mark Zadel. Mark is a PhD student in the Input Devices and Music Interaction Laboratory (IDMIL) and the Computational Acoustic Modeling Laboratory (CAML) at the Schulich School of Music, McGill University.

Description

This tutorial will introduce the Latex typesetting system.  It is intended for beginners, and will cover typesetting simple documents and the practical aspects of starting to work with Latex for academic writing.

If participants would like to follow the examples during the workshop, they should bring their own laptop with a LaTeX distribution already installed.  Download links are provided in the above notes.
