Workshop & masterclass on digital lutherie and augmented instruments design

Workshop & masterclass on digital lutherie and augmented instruments design

An event organized in collaboration with Research Axis 3 (Cognition, perception and movement) and 4 (Expanded musical practice).

Description

Preceding Andrew McPherson’s distinguished lecture on September 12th, this workshop, taking the form of a masterclass on digital lutherie with our guest, brings together artists and researchers who design/make/produce new or augmented instruments and reflect on the act of playing these instruments, from cultural and aesthetic perspectives, and are actively engaged in the reproduction of these instruments and the development of a music-making community.
