The meeting will take place online via Zoom: https://mcgill.zoom.us/j/2632309272
Objectives
1. Workshop ideas for 2020-2021
We welcome ideas for workshops: these could be linked thematically to the 2020-2021 series of Distinguished Lecture rebroadcasts or may be entirely new ideas. Workshops related to the topics of telematics or networked collaboration could be especially relevant given this year's circumstances. All workshops should keep in mind that in-person meetings may be difficult or impossible for most of the academic year.
2. Use of RA4 budget
Because we have no travel or catering expenses this year, we may consider using our budget ($3,000 total) to develop some resources or outputs that help members to exchange and collaborate together around research topics that are relevant to RA4. We welcome brainstorming around this issue.
3. Distinguished Lecture guests 2021-22
Since we were unable to invite any guests this year, we will plan to use the last voting results for our Distinguished Lecturer in 2021-22. The results of the last vote were: 1. Pamela Z, 2. Pierre Jodlowski, 3. Leah Barclay. We plan to contact Pamela Z first and will work down the list if she's unavailable.
4. Review of CIRMMT funding opportunities
We will also discuss student funding opportunities (including "travel" funding for online conferences and student awards) for this year.
