Andrea Santini is a sound and media artist with research-driven practice focusing on interactivity, immersion, and the spatial dimensions of sound. He studied Sound Art and Audio in London and completed a PhD on spatial sound and live electronics at the Sonic Arts Research Centre in Belfast in 2012.
For over a decade, from 2007 to 2018, Andrea led the creative research of the UBIKteatro group, producing interactive installations and performances showcased in international galleries and festivals. In addition to his artistic and sound design practice, Andrea is involved in teaching and research, collaborating with institutions such as the Accademia di Belle Arti di Verona, Ca' Foscari University of Venice, the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) in Milan, and the Istituto Universitario Salesiano (IUSVE) Venezia. He’s currently a research fellow working on a second PhD on Augmented Audio Reality at the Music Conservatory in Vicenza.
