I'm a master's student in Electrical and Computer Engineering, working in the Shared Reality Lab with Jeremy Cooperstock.

I build indoor navigation and object-reaching tools for blind and low-vision users, and most of that work turns out to be auditory display: HRTF rendering, earcon design, and deciding which axis of a spatial cue should be carried by position and which by pitch or pulse rate. I also work on haptic guidance, I ran a field study on vibrotactile turn cues with cyclists.

I came to CIRMMT because I've been making psychoacoustic decisions from engineering intuition, and I'd like to make them from something better.
