McGill University and Eidos-Montréal™ announce a collaborative research project to record and integrate spatialized music into video games. Funding for the project, amounting to $100,000, was obtained through the Innovation and Industry Partnerships Program (I+P Partnerships Program). This program is supported by the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement Supérieur and is designed to foster collaborations between researchers, in this case Wieslaw Woszczyk and Richard King, and companies based in Quebec.

The year-long project will bring together the expertise of McGill University researchers, the modernity of the Schulich School of Music's brand new music recording facilities, and Eidos-Montréal's unparalleled industry experience in integrating and mixing multi-channel sound in video games.
