Research Axis 4 (Expanded musical practice) General Meeting 2023

Research Axis 4 (Expanded musical practice) General Meeting 2023

All CIRMMT researchers and student members interested in RA4 activities are welcome to attend, as are prospective student members who'd like to get involved in 2023-2024.

CIRMMT's Research Axis 4 (Expanded Musical Practice) will hold our annual planning meeting on Friday December 1st, 3:30-5:00pm in Room A-832 of the Wirth Music Building (527 Sherbrooke West). This is after the RA4 workshop: Composing and performing with Digital Musical Instruments, at 10:00am-1:00pm in the same room.

All CIRMMT members are welcome to attend, regardless of whether or not their main affiliation is with RA4. We have planned several exciting activities to discuss. These include Distinguished Lectures for 2024-2025, spatial audio workshops, performances involving DMIs, and improvisational groups. We also encourage you to contribute your own ideas during the Assembly. Additionally, we will share information on this year's calendar, which includes the visit of Sebastian Berweck, who will treat us to a live electronics performance, and the esteemed pioneer in electronic music, Annea Lockwood, as our Distinguished Lecturer.

Please note that the General Assembly will be conducted both in person and online via Zoom:
We eagerly anticipate your participation in both the workshop and the General Assembly on December 1st. We are excited to meet all of the RA4 members and hear your ideas and insights on how we can make RA4 an exciting and inspiring experience this year.
