This workshop is free and open to all. It will be held mainly in French.
NOTE: The workshop will start in the Salle Claude-Champagne with the Sixtrum Percussion Ensemble performing an excerpt of Martin Matalon's Le Scorpion.
This workshop will be around the nature of the relationship composers maintain between music and animated image. The discussion will be moderated by Sean Ferguson who will coordinate the discussion between composers Martin Matalon, Robert Normandeau, Jean Piché, film-maker Olivier Asselin and percussionist Jean Geoffroy. Participating composers and performers will present excerpts from their works.

ATTENTION : l'atelier débutera dans la salle Claude-Chamapagne avec un extrait du Scorpion de Martin Matalon, interprété par l'ensemble à percussion Sixtrum.
L'atelier portera sur la nature de la relation que les compositeurs entretiennent avec l'image animée. La discussion sera animée par Sean Ferguson qui coordonnera les débats avec les compositeurs Martin Matalon, Robert Normandeau, Jean Piché, le réalisateur Olivier Asselin et le percussionniste Jean Geoffroy. Les intervenants donneront des exemples de leur travail.
