Unis-sons immersive listening workshop in the Multimedia Room (MMR)

This workshop is presented in collaboration with Research Axis 3 (Cognition, perception and movement)

*Please note that this event will take place in French.

Description

The Unis-sons project aims to deepen the links between the listening experience of blind and visually impaired people and sighted people. The Ville sonore research group and the Audiotopie team are organizing an immersive listening session and artistic and sensory exploration at MMR. Participants in the Unis-Sons project will be able to listen to the recordings made during the outings in the 4 locations of their choice. Ambisonic recordings will be presented on the MMR loudspeaker network. Nicola Giannini will present extracts from his creations, and the Ville Sonore team will present recordings of public spaces and sound installations. An educational activity will enable participants to compare their descriptions and impressions, and to reflect together on the next stages of the project.

This project is supported by the City of Montreal's Médiations culturelles program.
