This workshop will demonstrate different approaches to performance according to the structure of an instrument, with talks and musical excerpts as well as open discussions.

- Installation artist N.B.Aldrich gives an introduction to how custom hardware and software integrate into autonomous audio systems.
- 10:45 - 11:45: Joel Chadabe - What does an electronic instrument do for you?
- Though images and sounds, Joel Chadabe shows how an instrument can be created according to a particular goal.
- 11:45 - 12:00: Coffee break
- 12:00 - 1:00: Round table/open discussion with presenters and attendees
