Sonic interventions in public space — Workshop on soundscape design and situated sound art

Description

Following Nadine Schütz’s (ETH Zürich and IRCAM) distinguished lecture on December 1st 2025, CIRMMT is pleased to announce a two-day workshop, with guest researcher Nicolas Misdariis (IRCAM). This workshop aims to bring together artists and researchers interested in soundscape design and situated sound art. We will discuss the various ways sound art can affect the experience of urban spaces as well as design tools and methods as well as artistic practices around the creation of site-specific sound installations and performances.
